Board Nominees for August 2020

The nominating committee would like to thank all Castle Parkers for their input to the board nominating process.  The nominating committee has carefully considered all the amazing candidates and has narrowed the field to three nominees to serve on the CPA Board of Trustees beginning in August.  The following slate of nominees will be considered for election to a three year term on the Board of Trustees at the Castle Park Association annual meeting (in whatever form that takes!).

Beverly Burns ~ Cottage owner since 1985 or so.  Professionally Bev is a lawyer.  She has served on many and varied committees and boards and has extensive leadership experience:  Detroit Athletic Club Board of Directors, past Chair of Michigan Humane Society; past Chair of Michigan Women’s Foundation (and many more!)

Suzanne Dixon ~ Suzanne was previously an Illinois business owner engaged in marketing magazines and has a long-standing connection with local government in Allegan County.  She has served as a liaison between Laketown Township and the Castle Park Board of Trustees for the past three years.  Suzanne has lived in Castle Park for the past 16 years.

David Steketee ~ David is a fourth generation Castle Parker and has been coming to Castle Park his whole life.  He is most famous in Castle Park as a trumpet player in the Rock the Park bands but he has so much more to offer.  He has been a middle school band director for 13 years at Cross Creek Charter Academy in Grand Rapids.  In addition to teaching music, David helped create and holds the role of his school’s first Achievement and Behavior Specialist position.

Thank you to Martha Moyer, Jay Mittelstead, and Bob Allison for their contributions to the board for the past three years.
