Gardner/Mancini Cottage for Sale

Dear Castle Park Association,

It is with great regret that we have decided to put the Gardner/Mancini Cottage (aka “Phoenix in the Dunes”) up for sale. We would love to find a buyer from within the Castle Park community’s family and friends.

The cottage was built in 2005-2006  to replace the original Gardner cottage that burned down in 2003.  It sleeps up to 12 in five bedrooms (including a kids’ room with bunkbeds, a daybed, and a sleeping loft), and has 3.5 baths, three fireplaces (all piped for gas if desired), a large kitchen, and a dining table that seats 12. One of the bedrooms is on the first floor and has a bathroom adjacent with a walk-in shower. Our back deck looks out over the Baldy ravine, and our front second-floor windowseat and balcony face the lake.  Our lot is a little over 2 acres, and we share a driveway and a beach path with Ben Watson. South Beach is about a five-minute walk from our front door.

We are asking $1.2 million. We would be able to close as early as sometime in October.
