Preservation Plan for the Castle Park Reserve

It has been Castle Parkers’ long term goal to recover and restore the original Castle Park campus. Now is the time to imagine as we enter Castle Park, coming around the bend, looking westward across an open vista past the Castle all way to the lake. A private endeavor is underway to acquire the Bamborough property, raze the house and restore that vista. A purchase agreement has been signed. Now, the fundraising begins. We are off to a great start but we have a significant way to go. Once the fundraising succeeds, the Purchase Agreement will close on November 18th. The house will be razed and reasonable restoration of the landscape will occur. The plan is to offer the property to the Board for consideration as a gift to the Association, without financial burden, bound only by the stipulation that it never be sold.
