The castle library committee is sponsoring “Operation Windmill: fulfilling Carter Brown’s dream” on Wednesday night, June 26 followed up with a tour of the windmill led by our speaker Alisa Crawford -Miller at 1:00 on Thursday, June 27th. 11:30 we will meet for lunch at DeBoer’s at 1812 Ottawa Beach Rd., prior to our tour.
Alisa has just finished a book about the importance of Carter Brown to the facilitation of bringing this massive windmill to Windmill Island. It was the last windmill allowed out of the Netherlands.
