Tom & Beth Maentz Apply for Membership

Tom and Beth Maentz have recently purchased the Argyropoulos cottage and are applying for membership to the Castle Park Association for that cottage. Please review his application below and submit comments to castleparkboard@gmail.com. The current bylaws allow for an expedited review period for families who are already familiar to the CPA through other cottages. Please submit comment before March 24th.

The original Maentz cottage at 4554 Lover’s Lane was purchased by my grandparents – Henry & Margaret Maentz – in 1938. Many years ago, ownership passed to my parents – Tom & JoAnn Maentz – and uncle & aunt – Henry & Marilyn Maentz. Several years ago my cousin Steve Maentz and myself each acquired 50% of the cottage. Steve is now deceased and so his estate, with Susan Maentz as Executor, now owns 50%.

Beth and I have purchased 4552 Lover’s Lane (former Argyropoulos cottage) because we are making a long-term commitment to our favorite summer destination. I have enjoyed coming to Castle Park most every summer of my entire 60 years. My wife Beth also loves Castle Park, as do our two sons. We have many friends, both old and new, and look forward to getting together with everyone when we get to CP. We also appreciate the great work of the CP Association and efforts to maintain the beautiful grounds and facilities.
