Wizard of Oz Show & Share/Emerald City Supper

Castle Park has a history and connection with L. Frank Baum who wrote the Wizard of Oz. An opportunity presented itself when former library chair Ruth Allison visited former committee member Jan Manglitz. Jan showed Ruth her collection of Oz items, and the thought occurred that it would be wonderful to share with the Park. The library committee unanimously agreed and discovered another committee member (me) also had a sizable Oz collection.
The idea grew to have an event at the Castle for anyone who wanted to “show and share” the Oz items they have collected over the years or tell a story about the Oz reunions that used to take place at the castle.
From 5:00-6:00 pm, CPers that have items that they wish to display are invited to select a table in the dining room to do so. All CPers are welcome to enjoy viewing the collections and participate in games and trivia, with dinner to follow.
At 6:30 pm, the Emerald City (Potluck) Supper will begin, outside weather permitting, inside if not. Main dish and limeade provided. People must sign up and bring a green dish to share that will feed 5-8.
Dressing for the event is encouraged!
